FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Why should I choose Little Kitchen Treats?
I’ve been a self-taught baker for over 10 years now and I’ve invested so much personal time into learning more because it really is a passion of mine. I love creating delicious little desserts and put care into every treat I make. I am grateful that you are choosing and trusting me to be a part of your event in this delicious way and I always want that to show in every little treat I make.
*Big Store Name* can make this cheaper. Do you price match?
A “Big Store” can charge a lot less because they can mass-produce their products. When you order from me, you are ordering customized desserts specific to your event and carefully made for YOU. You pay for the art, detail, time put into each dessert, and a unique treat that no one around you can buy. Therefore, I do not price match. If Big Store prices are more aligned with your budget, you are more than welcome to purchase their product, but I promise they won’t be as tasty or as pretty.
How do I pay for my order?
Currently, I accept Venmo or Cash App payments since most of my orders are not done face-to-face until pickup. During markets and events, I will have a card reader and can accept cash payments. For all orders, I do require a 50% deposit of the balance as confirmation of a placed order. The remaining balance is due at pick up.
How do I pick up my treats?
Since I do have a full-time job outside of baking, I do ask to schedule pickup times with you at Julius Kleiner Memorial Park in Meridian. Delivery will be available to Boise, Meridian, Garden City, and Eagle areas for a $5 fee.
Do you offer any discounts?
On the home screen, you’ll see my page offering monthly discounts and specials! If you’re wondering about discounts or donations for charity events, please reach out to me directly.
How do I take care of my treats?
Try to keep your treats cool, dry, and out of direct sunlight. During pickup I’ll make sure everything is to your satisfaction but once the treats are in your hands I am no longer responsible for any incidents.
Are you licensed to sell food?
I operate my business under Idaho’s Cottage Food Law. For more information on that you can follow the link here:
Why are custom sugar cookies so expensive?
Like all my treats, cookies are made in small batches and are the most personalized treat I create. I make each order to your specific customization with colors, names, numbers, and designs. Between creating the dough, mixing consistencies, layering icing to get the proper dimensions, dry time, and packaging it makes for even the simplest designs to be highly labor-intensive and time-consuming. They are definitely a lot of work, but they end up looking so pretty and bring the WOW factor to your dessert table!
Do you do exact copies from treats I see online?
I will use your pictures as inspiration but, out of respect to the original baker, I do not copy exact sets. I make all of my orders to be unique and one of a kind for you.
Are the cookies I want basic or detailed on the pricing chart?
The pricing is there to give you an idea of what the order would cost. I would need to see how detailed and how colorful you are wanting your treats to be so that I would be able to give you a proper price quote for your specific order.
I’m on a budget. What can I afford?
I live on a budget, so I know the struggle! Always feel free to reach out and let me know what your theme would be and what your budget is, and I can try and work something out with you.
Are there any dietary restrictions for your desserts?
I bake everything out of my home kitchen so your treats may have come into contact with common allergens like soy, wheat, and tree nuts. I do use whole milk and eggs in creating the doughs and batter for all of my treats, along with ingredients from candy melts, chocolates, sprinkles, and edible glitters. As of right now, I do not make any modifications or substitutes for dietary restrictions.
